Cory Mullin has been on the waters of Campbell River since he was young. Learning from a father whose boat is correctly named “Aquaholic” Cory came by a passion for fishing honestly. When not guiding, Cory can be found on his boat, working on his boat, or if the weathers bad checking constantly to see when it will get better so he can go out on the boat. His partner jokes that he should have named the boat “The mistress” as that is who he spends all his time with.... so he did.

YOUR SHIP

Purchased in 2018 for Blackbeard Fishing Charters, The "Mistress” is a 21’ Boston Whaler Conquest and Captain Cory’s dream fishing boat. The Boston Whaler is known around the world as the unsinkable boat and this forward cabin ship also features a wide beam for stability, a flushing lavatory, and a heater to keep the chill off when fishing for those winter springs.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Campbell River is the Salmon Capital of the World. The lifelong search for the coveted Tyee (a 30 lb Chinook Salmon) may be the destination but the journey to it is filled with memories you won’t find anywhere else. Whether its reeling in a Tyee or catching your own prawn or crab for dinner we can’t guarantee a built-in wildlife tour but there is almost always other fish in the sea. From seals, to bears or maybe even a pod of killer whales you never know what this changing coast will offer you.
